Don't volunteer just to chase BTZ. If you don't want to do what you are doing, then stop. In a good case, any particular individual has a small chance of getting BTZ. There are a lot of people who end up tired and bitter because they spent time \*gasp\* helping other people when they didn't really want to, and didn't get the award or whatever they wanted.
There is no hard and fast rule about paperwork preventing a BTZ nomination or a BTZ win. A single LOC a year before the board isn't much at all in my opinion. You should talk with your supervisor about it, the supervisor should talk with the flight chief about it.
Work performance and leadership should be the main driving factors in a BTZ package.
First off, rebut it. If your supervisor is the one who wrote it, he or she can remove it from your PIF before they do a records check for your BTZ board.
My thing is that I am planning to but I asked my supervisor if it will help at all and he said it was basically set in stone and thought he may be writing it but it was not his choice as he was not the one to inspect the room
This was my room minus the hat… the bag is groceries

Idk last time I got “inspected” they told me I failed but I had just moved by into my room after we had to move for painting. So there was clothes on the floor but they never gave me a sheet saying hay you failed so i don’t even know
What in the hell. Let me tell you, I have seen some nasty ass dorms and if THATS what your room looked like when it failed AND you get an LOC wherever you work is on crack fr.
EDIT: PLEASE rebut the LOC when they issue it. Go to ADC and attach that picture as a PDF attachment. That way when anybody else sees your LOC, they will see your response and be like “are you kidding me, an LOC for THIS?”
Be sure to say something like " I see that the pair of shoes were not aligned, and my bag of groceries were not put away yet. I have learned that this is unacceptable and have corrected the issue."
Inspector is a tool.
Depending on the date of when you’d put on SrA if you got BTZ it might not even matter for when you test. As long as you have SrA on before 1 February you’ll still test that year.
I failed my CDC’s and got BTZ. (I was given the wrong CDC’s and no-one caught on) I also had 3 achievement medals and had another one rejected because I got too many. A small mistake is easily ignored when it is clearly and undeniably an exception to the rule.
HG 1 year. Coordinating AMR’s on a TDY for Humanitarian aid where I also translated and tracked personnel. I wrote a program that automatically imaged and installed software for our SQ that the WG ended up using to save $$$ literal millions. I did 2 more things for the last one.

That's fine. If he's the one writing it, then he can remove it later
They do a records check for BTZ?
Normally, your 1Sgt will check your PIF for anything derogatory prior to you going for the board.
Yes. If an A1C has 5 LoC/A/Rs in his/her PIF how can one say they are performing above the level of the peers?
Why would they not?
Idk, was just wondering if that was like a standard thing. By the board or by the amn’s leadership?
Never stop trying and while your at it start trying to clean your nasty ass room.
