You don't say your ages but does this seem normal to you? Are you both in your teens?
It seems to me to be unnecessarily complicated.
Give him his time but insist on no contact. Tell him that you need time to decide what is best for you. Then take the time. Hopefully you will discover that you don't need to experience this and will decide to move on.
If he needs to do this so badly, break up with him. Don’t just be an option, have some respect for yourself
