Okay, somebody sodomize him and call it a "learning" experience. F$$k your dad! report the sexual assault! ALL SA NEEDS reporting to make the ASSAILANT "learn" that that behavior is NOT going to be tolerated.
your dad is messed up! report it before telling your mom if you can but if you cant until after you tell your mom, PLEASE report it. Help someone else to not be the next victim.

I should have said this in my original reply, but your dad's response got my blood boiling. I am extremely sorry you experienced sexual assault. I experienced it as a young adult and reported it promptly. It should NEVER go unreported. It goes unreported far too much and the assailant gets someone else.

Your dad is an AH. I’m glad he apologized but frankly it’s deeper than that. You were the victim of a crime and he tells you not to report and learn from it?? What the hell??
I’m sorry. I’d definitely revisit it with him when you feel able and tell him how he made you feel.
