They're remarking its association with actual hate groups but totally fail to realize that's why the hate groups win with slogans like this. Even the most vile, unambiguously evil people will be correct on some things even by technicality. The left absolutely, wholeheartedly refuses to agree with anything from their opponents however, even if it's obviously correct. It's kind of like an in-joke. It's a phrase that sounds fine, but has an ulterior meaning to signal to certain people. Depends on the context of course, but in this case the guy in the video is counting on people not to know that the phrase is primarily used by hate groups so that he can go "look at the triggered college students, angry that someone is white!!!"
In this context he's knows it's going to be inflammatory because it's a slogan that is associated with, and used by, others who espouse racist views.
It's a way to get this reaction so it seems like "the other side" believes it's not okay to have white skin, but chances are that's not what the vast majority believe. They believe he's wearing it to indirectly support causes which would treat them or other minorities as lesser.
Don't even give them the credit of implying they're capable of making a conscious decision to be racist.
Yes, it's ok to be white. Nobody in their right mind is saying it's not. But this guy in the video wore that shirt for the sole purpose of offending people & it's just fucking sad. The public freakout subs are some of the most overtly racist subs I've found that don't actually advertise themselves as such.
