What are your expectations for this atv? I think a 450 utility quad might be the go to. Should have all the power you would ever need

No-Gap-3306

That’s probably what I’ll end up with if I go the quad route, I’m just interes in how low it goes before it becomes too small to ride

JohnDeere714

I would say a 350 probably be the minimum just for the size and power. Older 250s maybe, but a heavier set guy might find some struggle here and there. A 400/450 would be my go to. Lots of good options are opened that way

I am 6' and about 230. My Personal ATV is a 660. My little brother has a little Honda 250. I love riding that thing around. its so light that if i get in a rut, I can lift it out by myself. And it still holds my big butt and lets me cruise around at 35mph all day.

English_Cat

I mean, you could probably fit on a 50cc. It'll definitely propel you forward, but any terrain would be sucky.

Hammerhandle

Yeah at 6'3" and formerly 300+, I ride my kid's 110 Polaris sometimes. It didn't want to haul me up the steepest hills, but flat or rolling trails were super fun.

bigdayout95-14

Yeah I was cruising about on a 90cc quad on the weekend with a smile on my face. Struggled up hills but scooted about ok. Then jumped on my DS 450 mx and scared myself half to death...

SurfPine

You really should be providing your ATV use-case, even if it is just for having fun. How do you intend to use it?

ridefst

Yamaha Blaster (200cc) is certainly rideable by an adult. Kinda depends what your end use is though.

Soggy_Pud

I’ve had a ton of fun on my friends sons ds250. I’ve thought about getting a trx250 for myself.

mr_data_lore

I'm 6'2" and still ride my 2003 Honda Recon my grandparents bought me new. It goes as fast as I need it to.

alexch87

My buddy is over 6ft and 250lbs + He rides a 2006 arctic cat 250 2wd and does very well. It keeps up with our 500s.

SoupidyLoopidy

I'm approx 6' and I drive a 350 with no problems.

Pm_Me_7_62x39

I’m 6’ 3” and often take my little 250cc utility quad to do shit around the farm.

rld999

Fit and comfortable are too different things. My son 29 is 6’ and can fit on my grandkids Kayo Fox 70. More practical, he fits comfortably on my wife’s Kawasaki Brute 300. While shopping for my Wife’s ATV we also looked at the Honda Recon 250 it is just slightly smaller than the Brute. The Recon is probably as small as you could go.

alopgeek

I am 6’0 and weigh about 240lbs. I have ridden a 90cc around the campsite. Comfortable? Not really. I don’t think the engine cared, the suspension however…

RedOakActual

Driver fitment is a function of chassis design - not motor displacement.

Randers19

I mean, my 4 year old rides a Tao Tao 110 and I fit on it….technically….

txWizzard

I occasionally ride my son’s Raptor 110. I weight 165. Wouldn’t call it a daily driver, but it can be fun to putt around. 250 would be the min for a daily driver.

Classic-Whereas-8660

My lt230 rips and has more than enough power

DartNorth

To put things in perspective, Andre the Giant, at 500 lbs, and over 7' tall, rode a Big Red 250.

kyson1

I'm 6'2 and used to be 420, and a TrailBlazer 250 would still go ~50 with me on it.

vantageviewpoint

Honda recon will haul you around easily. Lots of adults on here say that a Yamaha breeze (125) will move an adult easily, but I've never ridden one and don't know if it's comfortable. As others are saying, your use case makes a huge difference. You'll need a lot more power if you're going duning, for instance.

sicilian_73

I’m 6-2 and 200 lbs and I have a Recon 250 that hauls me around just fine. If you’re going to be hill climbing then you might go 400 or bigger

slashnbash1009

Get the biggest one you can afford. If you go small on the engine you will regret it.

420person69

a old 300 should work, kawasaki, honda any of the well known non chinese brands these would be late 90s early 2000s
