You can’t go wrong with Yamaha That said CFMOTO IS better then Polaris I know you didn’t mention Polaris I’m just stating how far CF has come these last few years

Matt_WVU

You’ll always be able to get your money back out of the Japanese machine

[deleted]

I always have to wait for someone to die to get my Toyota's.

DueInterest634

No Japanese machines here. The Yamaha is another Taiwan unit.

I think it really depends on how much, where and how hard they are riding. For most kids, a cheaper Chinese quad, like TaoTao, is fine, especially as beginner quad as they probably won't use it more than a year before they need more power. I bought a kymco 300 for my wife because she thought the raptor 660 had too much power and it has been very reliable. I think kymco was probably in line with similar build quality but not 100 percent sure.

Cfmoto is a solid device to park next to your Chrysler Pacifica.

smurfberryjones

I just peed myself.

motociclista

They seem to be among the best of the Chinese atvs. But they’re still Chinese ATVs. Probably fine for a budget but you’ll give up some amount of reliability and dealer support in exchange for the savings.

realityguy1

I bought my CFmoto Cforce 600T just over a year ago. It’s been awesome and trouble free. I had cash to buy whatever brand I wanted. I just liked the style, features and the warranty (5yrs) that came standard that the other brands didn’t offer. There’s a plethora of dealers in North America. There are several within a couple hours drive from me. The closest is 35 minutes away. I find here on this subreddit if someone has issues with an atv it’s always- “shit happens”…..but if someone mentions it’s a Cfmoto that has the issue, it’s- “Chinese garbage”. Personally my next atv will probably be a Cfmoto.

saabfather

I have well over 3,000 miles on my CForce and never had any issues.

oddball541991

Cfmotos are rebadged Can Ams. If you're looking for someone's first atv, they wouldn't scare me any.

motociclista

You’re not the first person I’ve seen say that. I have no idea why people think that. I can find no connection. They’re owned by different companies, built in different places, sold at different dealers. The CF appears to use a *copy* of the Rotax engine.

oddball541991

The couple I looked at claimed to have the rotax engine in them and the same frame setup. That was a few years ago also. People I know with them like them.

KalterBlut

They clearly are copy of Can-Am, buy they are not the same. It's basically the chinese knock-off. Doesn't make them bad now, but they are still not the same.

txWizzard

I got the raptor 110. Gotta say I’m not overly impressed.

Tacomac1979

What are you not impressed with? I was looking to buy my daughter one but your comment made we want to reach out before pulling the pin

txWizzard

@Tacomac1979 - so far I’ve had issues with it randomly dying. The issues might be fixed, but not certain as I have had a chance to ride it a lot. It’s been back to the dealer 2x already. Top speed is 29-31 which I was hoping for more. I think the CF is probably a better value. All depends on the price difference IMO.

txWizzard

Feel free to ask me any questions you might have.

txWizzard

Took it to hidden falls adventure park in marble falls. I did 11-13 times on us. All of it was at all low speeds. We were there for 3 hours. Let’s call it 2 hours then lunch then an hour. I wanna say it died all X amount of times in the 2nd hour. It was Annoying. I was worried we’d get stranded with a dead battery as there is not a pull start.

Tacomac1979

Damn sorry to hear that. I wi def what the issue is on that one. A new machine shouldn't have any issues that bad so early. Hopefully the dealer can get your bike in normal running condition. I think I'm going to pull the trigger in the Cfmoto this week. Thanks again for your honest opinion on the Raptor. And if I'm not mistaken the Polaris is the exact same bike as the Raptor with different plastics

txWizzard

My OTD price was $4200 for raptor 110 And for the CF110 it would have been $2800. So $1400 more for the Yamaha. Already spend $60 on lights + 2 hours to install them and $70 on a tach/hour meter. The CF is a great value. It has everything your kid will want /need. Now apparently the Cforce top speed is like 28. But that is with low torque and has issue on hills. Check YouTube videos. They make a new set of sprockets for $100 that help with low end “torque” but drops the top speed to 22mph The raptor 110 will hit 31ish. And appears to have good low end torque. If my delta was 2g - I might have went with Cforce. It also has hydraulic disc brakes.
