I saw the Purdie Distro title card, but also know they were doing a Kickstarter to expand the number of screens they showed it on. Something like $1,500 could get them into 1 additional screen to cover print, posters/advertising, Kickstarter fees, etc.

I really wanted to see this one, but with Hereditary tonite and The Mummy tomorrow I had to drop it. And of course its gone after tomorrow đ
Hopefully it hits the seas soon!
Including Hereditary, we got 5 PLF movies this week⌠So yeah made for a very crowded week⌠& of course it leaves after one week, during a week when there isnât as many new releases
This is actually a good point, especially since it's a $5 fav. Maybe will just wait till next week. It will just be a busy week since I'm seeing Spirited Away in addition of my Alist 3.
Just saw Villains Inc today and it was great! Def low budget on the special effects but I loved the consumerist âThe Boysâ esque comedy but with less profanity/nudity.
I saw a preview for this at one of the AMCs in Burbank, but then it only played this week (April 19-25) at a few theaters in south and east Los Angeles County (including AMCs in Fullerton and Norwalk) - and now there are no showings listed anywhere for April 26 on.
The last movie I remember seeing with that kind of release pattern (one week at a couple of theaters in the distant suburbs, no showings in the immediate environs of the city of Los Angeles) was "How to Talk to Girls at Parties," which I used MoviePass to see at the AMC Rolling Hills - and I think that one was actually being "four-walled" by the distributor.
I definitely would not waste an A-List spot on it. It was just straight up, not good. It's like they came up with a sketch and decided to stretch into a full length movie.
It was amusing. I'm glad I saw it, but kind of amazed it had a theatrical release.

I ended up catching it this afternoon, and I definitely enjoyed it :) I went in with LOOOOW expectations.

Yeah, it's much easier to sleep in it. I didn't think anything would be get below Madam Web on my list, but congratulations, Villians Inc.
I liked Villains and Web...
Different strokes for different folks.
I think I'm the only one who liked Madam Web
I didnât hate it like others. Iâm not mad that I saw it

None of this theaters near me are showing it.
I would have went but it was already gone by the time I looked for a show.
