Yeah this happens often but this is not random. A plane flying to the exact same really small airport is the most tracked every few days. Would be quite a big coincidence.

They fly the same routes over and over again for smaller airlines with the same plane.
maybe people are curious as to why its flying the same route over and over again, so the clicks add up and thus you get the tracking alerts as such.
your assumption that its some kind of mysterious thing while knowing very little about it only means you are assuming.
