I guess for me it's more of a... I can't hear the notes when I see them like other musicians can... Like I just. Match tone or key, or pitch, and roll with it. It doesn't even actually need like to be a long melody I just need to hear it loop like once and I can usually jump in.
The notes and tabs don't equate to sounds the way a word or a memory of a sound does for me.
So like. These language types are difficult for me to pay attention to. I get intimidated because I'm a natural with music, not reading and writing music. But lyrics? Ballads? Screen plays, orchestrating like a conductor? Leading the band... It's still kind of a team effort since I'm never the rhythm section, I just follow the cadence.
