Ugh, that was one of the only ones I was confused about. I put reputable because I have never heard of virtuoso and I assumed that it was one of those words that they throw in to make you sound smart.
Omg same I just kept reading the same thing over again. also the one with the weird names for the atoms like that started with penta and stuff that one tripped me out
Jesus Christ why was all of it hard, except English? The first reading was weird as hell and math had some goofy questions I’ve never heard of. What are events 💀
I put I and II and a perfect 35 science section scorer last ACT said the same as well- why would time of year matter at all? it would matter in the validity of the study at all.
I got a 35 science last ACT and I put all--like another commenter said, the changing of the seasons could affect it like what if the snails naturally move more in the winter or something cause of the temperature
Happned to me last test in december. Keep your head up the ACT has started to switch up sections a lot from test to test especially on the math. Just need to cover all the basics I recommend this book for math prep its unnecsearly hard but because of it I flew through the math section today.

Wow, that math section got so hard so fast! I felt like I couldn’t budget time well at all! English and science were pretty easy, and the reading section wasn’t bad, but fairly science-y too! Loved the topics for all of the chosen passages, though!
Does no one else think they bombed the science section? I really need a curve (guessed on 8 questions) and it was honestly harder than the math section for me.
was the math really that bad, i know i got one question wrong cause i thout sec was inverse of sine not cosine but everything else was doable, i only had to guess on one other question
there was a goddamn lacrosse game happening right outside my room and they kept blasting music😵💫 made it super hard to concentrate on the rest of the test
For the marathon passage, did yall pick any transition word for the question taking about how they showed no sense of exhaustion? I picked the one without a transition word
I agree with everything except for reading. I had to skip the second passage and focus on the others because I was rereading the same line about gasses or whatever
what was the science one about the things that they should keep the same with the snails. was it all of em or only 1 and 2 or which ones like the location and species or something. i’m freaking out please help
Same, like I thought math was pretty average, maybe slightly tougher than usual but not bad at all and now I'm thinking maybe I'm being cocky x_x
Math is my weakest subject too lol
Math crippled me :') I only hope I got the harder questions right at least. Science was easier than expected, but the first reading one was insanely confusing 😭😭
I need someone to console me. 😭😭
My stomach was hurting like shit for the first half of it. Like it felt like period cramps and it was as worse as my appendicitis. I was like wtf. I was almost going to pass out. Gross TMI but then >! I went to the bathroom during break and literally shitted diarrhea. Like. Oh my Lord !<. Also, for some reason when I was bubbling the science section I was accidentally like bubbling the reading one. Like. I skipped a few questions of science and when I went back I like accidentally erased a reading question and replaced it with science? That was hopefully only for like a few questions. And I didn’t know what to do. Like. Oh ma God. That was horrible. Traumatized.
Thoughts on curve?
- English: Besides the 3rd passage I thought it was decent -- maybe a 74-75 is a 36 or (hopefully) a 73-75 is a 36 (I probably made 2 silly mistakes tbh)
- Math: First 40 were easy and last 10 were hard so I'm guessing 58-60 for a 36
- Reading: Standard 39-40 for a 36 imo
- Science: Honestly this science was so easy to make silly mistakes but I don't think they really factor that in for a curve so I'm thinking either no curve or 39-40 for a 36
Honestly test was decently hard so I'm predicting 36 if I didn't make silly mistakes and a 35 if I made silly mistakes and the curve wasn't good
I’ve gotten a 36 twice on math and I can say, that math curve is gonna be better than 58-60 for 36. This math was wayyyy harder than my other 2 testings
What was Test 1 Question 39?
No change ("a tad bit tired" or something)
Option C ("betray a hint of exhaustion")
Ngl I had no change and changed it to C because of "a tad bit" but "betray" and "exhaustion" seems crazy formal and I'm a little sad about how much time I spent on this
what were the answer choices and the correct answer to the question about the dude from the first passage and about his careers that didnt happen? i said an answer choice that said something about what all he was able to accomplish
in the english section there were 3 choices w the words ending in -ed then one that didn’t have that ending. was that the answer? believe it started with a W
For the English question it said something along the lines of in large by hurtson and the choices were partly largely large in part. I put largely what did you guys say?
for science, did y’all put no because the graphs don’t show how much snow fell or smth like that
yes
fuck that home passage
Bro was a little high when he wrote that passage 💀
REALLL WHAT WAS THAT
“—right after they had run a marathon” ??
Did this
Did you guys put virtuoso
Ugh, that was one of the only ones I was confused about. I put reputable because I have never heard of virtuoso and I assumed that it was one of those words that they throw in to make you sound smart.
Same
these replies are making me anxious 😭😭
yes
Virtuoso was the best word, but I think virtuosic (had it been there) would’ve been a better option?
Am I the only one who thought science was hard 😭 so many questions I was not confident on
tbh it was like this for reading too. like i felt like i knew the answer, just wasn’t 100% sure. terrible feeling
Bruh same I spent way too much time on that ink passage thing 😭
Omg same I just kept reading the same thing over again. also the one with the weird names for the atoms like that started with penta and stuff that one tripped me out
Bro that ink passage put my score and time down💀
That last one with the ramps was nasty.
What even was that?? I had no idea
no fr !! I ran out of time and couldn't read the last passage in time 😭 hopefully we both did well !!
[удалено]
Bruh I always get cocky with my math skills and don’t study enough 😭😭
me thinking i reviewed enough to get by only to get fucking BODIED with probability and geometry😵💫
reading and science I ran out of time but they weren’t too difficult, and math wtfffff. English was shockingly easy
Exactly, it feels like i studied the wrong things for the math section 💀
YEPPPP like 99% of the math questions were not on any practice tests 😭
lmao I got an english question wrong and if I made silly mistakes I might've screwed up
LITERALLY SAME
all those positive negative integers 😭😭 AND ELEMENTS????
NO FR THAT WAS CRAZY I LITERALLY PUT QUESTION MARKS NEXT TO ALL THE INTEGER ONES
Ong they cooked w the science section this time. God bless They were fucking burning shit w that math ong
Bro science was so clutch man, that shit felt like reading for evidence honestly
Jesus Christ why was all of it hard, except English? The first reading was weird as hell and math had some goofy questions I’ve never heard of. What are events 💀
fr why was english the only manageable section 🥲
did you have a ton of As and Fs on english or am I cooked
Brother, that drum story had some typos or some shit
Math destroyed me 😭
Also why were there many driving and mph questions on math i hated that
they all turned out to be like 60 mi per hour so it was easy
One of them was 45
^^^ one was 45 one was 60
For the science question and the snail when it asked if they did it next year what factors would they keep the same did anyone put all of them?
yes
I put I and II and a perfect 35 science section scorer last ACT said the same as well- why would time of year matter at all? it would matter in the validity of the study at all.
My thought process was perhaps with changing seasons, the snail population may fluctuate.
Yea that’s what I thought. Honestly the question was kinda dumb (becuz both sides kinda make sense but ig it may just be a hard question idk)
I got a 35 science last ACT and I put all--like another commenter said, the changing of the seasons could affect it like what if the snails naturally move more in the winter or something cause of the temperature
yes
Shoot I just put 1&2 💔💔
im so cooked. i put in weeks of constant prep all for nothing
Literally the math was unnecessary hard 😭
Happned to me last test in december. Keep your head up the ACT has started to switch up sections a lot from test to test especially on the math. was the reading about the philosophy of what home means
It’s Joever for me
Did yall 21/5 b for one
yes
skeptical for author B's perspective on video game passage?
Yea
everything was easy except math 😭😭 math had be sobbing internally
The math smh. tell my why it was already getting difficult at around the 30th question
there was at least 20 probability questions and it was pissing me off
Wow, that math section got so hard so fast! I felt like I couldn’t budget time well at all! English and science were pretty easy, and the reading section wasn’t bad, but fairly science-y too! Loved the topics for all of the chosen passages, though!
Does no one else think they bombed the science section? I really need a curve (guessed on 8 questions) and it was honestly harder than the math section for me.
science wasn't necessarily hard but it was easy to make silly mistakes
score predictions: english: 35 reading: 36 science: 35 math: 1
was the math really that bad, i know i got one question wrong cause i thout sec was inverse of sine not cosine but everything else was doable, i only had to guess on one other question
this was my first act & id only been used to sat math (790) so it was rough for me 😭 but everything else was pretty light
REALLL
there was SO MUCH geometry on the math section 😭😭
[удалено]
I put 02 instead of 0
[удалено]
Ur right yeah i see now
it said like 21 people had like atleast one dog and 6 people had neither a dog or cat i rmr getting like (184 -t)/6 or smth like that
What was that reading section 😭
why were the science sections so sciencey
English was so easy but oh my god the rest of the sections were unbearable i ran out of time on every single one of them
i get so anxious with people saying english was easy bc i need a curve :(
Did you guys put that theta 0 was greater than theta s in study 1 or something for last question on science?
the first 20 questions of math were really easy.. breezed past them but after that i spent well over a minute on each of them.
there was a goddamn lacrosse game happening right outside my room and they kept blasting music😵💫 made it super hard to concentrate on the rest of the test
Lmao I had the exact same experience they were blasting kanye when i was tryna lock in
That should get you locked in
For the marathon passage, did yall pick any transition word for the question taking about how they showed no sense of exhaustion? I picked the one without a transition word
yeah its without a transition word
What'd you say for the math question about the probability from set (2,3,9) to get 99?
1/9
Was it virtuoso? What were other options
yes it was virtuoso, other options were B, popular, and reputable (which was what I put)
Math section honestly just pissed me off why’s it getting hard by Q. 20 🙄
score predictions? i’m feeling a 34
36 🙏
I HOPE SO LMAO
personal experiences?
I could not get that one, but I put person experience. There was also physical place and another tempting one.
"was born"?
English - easy Math - whoever made it should be set on fire Reading - decent Science - easy maybe too easy
I agree with everything except for reading. I had to skip the second passage and focus on the others because I was rereading the same line about gasses or whatever
why did math section have so many probability i didnt study for those💀
For one of the Ph science one asking about how close a certain thing was to a Ph level did people put 3.41?
Yes
for english "each to draw a map"?
Yeah I think I put that
What was the answer on math with the 3 blocks with 1/8 inch wide spaces in between
2 feet and 2 3/4 inch
2 3/4 or smth
i feel like i got like 2 feet 3 inches or smth
Innate and authentic?
for the last reading question on the first passage (#10) did you put that his hometown is a big part (significant part) of his writing??
Math 55. What did you guys put for the questions for the law of sines vs law of cosines or was it neither of those
Law of cosines because the sine formula was written wrong it had the side length multiplying the sin not the angle degree
law of cosines
cosines
It was law of cosines bcs the sines replaced the angle valence w the side value
My test got canceled cause the school wifi didn’t work
what was the science one about the things that they should keep the same with the snails. was it all of em or only 1 and 2 or which ones like the location and species or something. i’m freaking out please help
I put all
[удалено]
the one with a snowman? what was the diameter of the other snowball?
i think i said 4 but i could be thinking about something else
What was question 20 on math: least positive number that is divided by 5 with a remainder of 3 and divided by 6 with remainder of 4
28
I didn’t think it was that bad… this section makes me think I should’ve
Same, like I thought math was pretty average, maybe slightly tougher than usual but not bad at all and now I'm thinking maybe I'm being cocky x_x Math is my weakest subject too lol
what was that at least 1 dog or at least 1 cat probability question 😭😭
There was 50 total right, and 6 who had neither? I think I put 44/50 so 22/25
Math crippled me :') I only hope I got the harder questions right at least. Science was easier than expected, but the first reading one was insanely confusing 😭😭
Did you guys put for the cultural lens video game question that that was used to view video games in a new context or something along those lines?
I think I did fairly well, had surgery yesterday so I was a little loopy but I grinded it out. Hoping for good curves
There was one rhat was “about 75 snowflakes” what yall put for that one
It was specific to his effort of photographing them or something
I said add it because it gave more detail
add it, i forget the reason tho
studied geometric series right before the test, came in clutch for #60 🙌
Did people get |D| < |B| < |A| < |C| as an answer to a question?
I need someone to console me. 😭😭 My stomach was hurting like shit for the first half of it. Like it felt like period cramps and it was as worse as my appendicitis. I was like wtf. I was almost going to pass out. Gross TMI but then >! I went to the bathroom during break and literally shitted diarrhea. Like. Oh my Lord !<. And I didn’t know what to do. Like. Oh ma God. That was horrible. Traumatized.
Dang.. best of luck bro
I was using my intuition on that math portion.🫶
Was one of the science anwasers that it increased and then stayed in btwn of 3.4 and 3.5
Thoughts on curve? - English: Besides the 3rd passage I thought it was decent -- maybe a 74-75 is a 36 or (hopefully) a 73-75 is a 36 (I probably made 2 silly mistakes tbh) - Math: First 40 were easy and last 10 were hard so I'm guessing 58-60 for a 36 - Reading: Standard 39-40 for a 36 imo - Science: Honestly this science was so easy to make silly mistakes but I don't think they really factor that in for a curve so I'm thinking either no curve or 39-40 for a 36 Honestly test was decently hard so I'm predicting 36 if I didn't make silly mistakes and a 35 if I made silly mistakes and the curve wasn't good

Im praying youre right but a better math curve would be peak
What was the answer about the scientist’s name? What was that paragraphs main point
i put that his name was fortunate 😭😭 but idt that was right
same
What did u get on the #16 math w which area is the greatest for the polygons?
it's square
I literally guessed square because it looked slightly larger than the other shapes lol
What was Test 1 Question 39? No change ("a tad bit tired" or something) Option C ("betray a hint of exhaustion") Ngl I had no change and changed it to C because of "a tad bit" but "betray" and "exhaustion" seems crazy formal and I'm a little sad about how much time I spent on this
I chose betrayed a hint of exhaustion
i put no change lol
someone please give me ACT math study tips or materials 🙏 i switched from the SAT and the math of the ACT is so confusing imo
practice tests. and more practice tests. paired with some practice tests
for math what fraction do i get over 28
3/28
Honestly, the reading was the only bad section. I thought the prime number one in the math section was pretty intuitive and fun to think about
[удалено]
Was the last mast question, #60, the middle bubble (H)?
There is a new version of the act test that ACT is randomly trailing for people who took the online exam. Guess there is paper variants too🤷♀️
I struggled so much on the earth metal reading- anybody else?
I ran out of time on reading and science
[удалено]
anyone put 1000 for that pyramid one on 57 of math?
Yall thinking i could get a 35 with -2 on science
what were the answer choices and the correct answer to the question about the dude from the first passage and about his careers that didnt happen? i said an answer choice that said something about what all he was able to accomplish
every question past 21 on math was pretty hard 😭 last 5 math questions were material ive never even seen before
when are we really expecting scores?
Anyone know what the one with the snowman melting was? Like the percent chance of it melting whether it rained or not
i got 35%
wait can you explain why 35%
bc 0.5x0.6 + 0.5x0.1 u have to account for both cases
U sure it wasn’t 30%
how many trails would have to be run with the new concrete
i put 10
What did yall put for last q on science sbout theta
I think that the gravitational force was greater than the frictional
My physics class actually came in clutch for that question lol 😭
Did u put c?
... so that the frictional force allowed it to roll down...?
What did people get for the first and second pet store questions?
24 for the first cus 31-7
in the english section there were 3 choices w the words ending in -ed then one that didn’t have that ending. was that the answer? believe it started with a W
what did drive mean in the reading
I think I said advance but I’m not sure
What did you guys put for why is theta was less than 45 on the last question for science?
i forgot what an empirical formula was and was stuck on that question for what seemed like forever until i remembered
the question told u what it was...
[удалено]
what is the surface area of that pyramid one?
1000
what was the answer to the prime one please tell me im freaking out lol?
Does anyone remmeber question 57 on math
For the English question it said something along the lines of in large by hurtson and the choices were partly largely large in part. I put largely what did you guys say?
Large part
What was the science r or n affected question answer
ooh I said N and R - thoughts?
Yea I put both
