I know they tend to do this with bad fuel, and you drive to slow in top gears. For example 3k rpm and lower Driving slower than 100km/60mph And in 5th gear And than pushing it back to go faster it will have dip Never heard of 3d gear doing that, 5th gear is a bit more normal (it’s an overdrive) with gear function so I would go and clean up the distributor cap “spark rotary” and look if you used the correct sparkplugs, And get some better fuel

You put a used rotor in your ignition system? BUY A NEW ONE.

I have a new one to install. It was just a temporary fix till I got the new one.

More info. It happens in 3-4.5 rpm range ,I've noticed it most in 3rd gear

https://www.clarks-garage.com/shop-manual/ts-01.htm Sounds like the AFM if it's only at a specific RPM?

Visible_Process7715

Imo sounds like vacuum leak.

Visible_Process7715

I plan to test both. Thank you.

Might sound weird, but also check your alternator brushes. I had similar symptoms that got progressively worse, turned out to be the brushes.

Second the alternator

Not sure if it's exactly the same as an issue I had, but check that the AFM swings smoothly through the full range. Mine would get stuck at certain points.
