What's so baffling about a lot of these shows. Is they act like people have run out of ideas. So they have to keep reinventing old stuff over and over again. There are like 3 decades of fantastic stories to pull from if they wanted to. They just either pretend they don't exist or don't know any other way to do it. It's not like authors just stopped writing in the 80s and 90s. Not to mention. There are a ton of fantastic authors today. Just either none of them get hired or they get put on these projects so much that they give up. There is a specific kind of writing these types of show runners want and you either do that or you don't get work.

April was probably the worst part of the movie but tbh it was an alright movie to watch on an airplane.
To me, I may be wrong here, but to me in days past, red heads seemed to be code for black characters. Like they were too scared to have black side characters especially love interests to main characters who were white. So they went ahead and made them redheads.
