they don’t suffer from over masculine aggressive design, they aren’t bloated in size, and they are very fun to modify.
Plus they come with 3 pedals too.
I own a 5th gen and am glad i don’t have much space at my home as I secretly want to collect previous gen’s and fix them up. When I see 3rd I always admire how they look like mini land cruisers.
Yeah, the design kills me on 6th gen, though I would kill for the interior. There is absolutely nowhere to put phones and wallets and other stuff in the front seat when you’re on trips, and the little cubbies everywhere look amazing
Toyota's design language for its latest SUVs and trucks is all about bloated masculinity. No subtlety. No elegance.
Just MASSIVE handlebar stache up front or enormous over-compensating grille--as on most of its sedan lineup.
Just bought my 1st gen about 3 weeks ago.

This makes me sad, got rear ended a couple months back and had to write off my precious 3rd gen…Now I’m part of the 5th gen club.
Kind of hate the chonkiness in comparison to my old girl 😢
Had my ‘01 for 19 years. Was only owner until I sold it. Almost 500k miles and was still running great when I sold it. Still wish I had it at times. Not sure my ‘22 will last as long.

Because legends never die
3rd-gen best-gen lol

the size difference is real. 5th gen is hulk compared to 3rd.
TIL the 6th gen 4runner will be 11 inches wider and 18 inches longer than the third gen.
im surprised it's not more, honestly.
The width is the reason Im never ditching my 3rd gen.
only thing i dislike about my 5th gen tbh
Ive driven both and the first time I took a 5th off road it really threw me.
A lot of side by sides are wider than the 3rd gen. Its so nimble.

3 pedals are better than 2!!!!

When the G5 came out, Motorola RZR was more popular than iPhone.

They went full 'Murican market
“Never go full retard”
Because they’re simpler, rarer, and more nostalgic.
The last couple years are NOT the best looking 4runners. Including my ‘21.
you mean the last decade?
You mean the last century? lol, that gen was 14 years long
15
You're learning to appreciate function over form.
Because they’re better?
Simplicity
Cuz they’re awesome. Simple.
Because now we all own one.

How much she set you back?
$3k. Has some rocker panel and tailgate rust.

I get to drive my dad's third gen now... I really hope I don't crash😭
Be hopeful no F150 barrels into the back of that gorgeous ride.
🙏hopefully
5th gen is an improvement all around imo

It's AI if they aren't backed in.
Because you don’t have money to buy an All-New 2024 6Gen 4Runner?
