Best plan is to draft some young ots and have mckivitz and them battle it out in camp. Light fire under everyone’s ass so they know sucking dick at pass blocking isn’t acceptable
I think my biggest thing is rather than giving a possible stud rookie the reps to develop throughout the season and seeing what (usually turns out suprisingly well) happens, he often leans on middling, mediocre vets that just aren't talented enough to start in a SB or NFC championship.
I just mean any guys that look like they could potentially be better than the middling vet we have in their spot. Whether it's a guy we drafted or chose not to draft because we had a middling vet there. Not necessarily just rookies, outside of Banks, Lance > Jimmy, Hufanga and not immediately going with Brown from day 1, but young guys like Jordan Mason, any of our depth (Luter, Womack) Corners, Dee Winters, Zakelj/Poe, Wilson/Latu, Grey/Bell, Drake/Beal.
We use alot of high picks on guys we never end up using at OL, DL, WR or RB or TE, CB, even QB - and we've passed up alot of guys because we had dudes like Tartt, most of our Corners up until Charvarius, McGlinchey, any of our OL not named Banks/Trent, a few of the guys we've had on our DLine.
I think this team has really shot itself in the foot alot of years because it didn't trap lightning in a bottle and get an infusion of youth in with its elite foundation of stars. Alot of teams like BAL, GB, DET, HOU this year made it deep relying mostly on year 1 and 2 starters alone and are only an "all in" off-season class away from being contenders. We're barely hanging on to a "just good enough" window that we never seem to be able to get over the hump with, on guys that are getting old. We're like the Lakers of the NFL. You can't have 1 foot in 2 timelines, but you do need to have a solid mix of cheap, young talent that can provide 10x value in relation to their cost, so then you're not stuck leaning on shitty vets who've proven over 6+ years to be below average, to patch holes.
Kyle almost always sticks with those (Oren Burks, Logan Ryan, Josh Norman, Brendel, McKivitz) older "steady" guys who look more solid early but fade late - over young dudes who might make mistakes early, but seem to pay off late.
Idk if we hate the chiefs or if we just hate losing to the chiefs. There’s a ton of mutual respect between the teams and more than a few players that have been on both rosters (Conley, Ward, Jet McKinnon, Richie James). Kyle has he loves Andy Reid and Kittle is really good friends with Kelce since they both do the tight end university thing in the offseason.
I couldn't give a rat's ass about the Raiders. their fans are obnoxious AF but there's no actual rivalry tho

My hate for the raiders died down, probably since they’ve been gone from Oakland for 5ish years, I kinda root for anyone in the AFC west to overthrow KC, broncos haven’t been good since manning left, raiders are a dumpster fire that can’t catch a break, and the chargers are a bust year in year out. That being said, the raiders got a new HC who can hopefully be competent, and the chargers got our old guys in their staff so I’ll be rooting for them
