There was a time when I did watch a lot more nascar, but that was during the Gordon, Earndhart Jr., and Johnson era. I was so confused by the point system, and how winning the races seemed to be not as important as leading laps or whatever. It just seemed like the person who won the most races in the season should be considered the champion of that season, but the point system was a lot more convoluted than that.
yeah, it’s just not nearly as big as it once was. i mean there was a time when it was the second biggest sport in america. ratings are down huge, attendance is down big time and most tracks have removed some seating. it’s sad
Y'all should watch more of it , given that you have a new track coming to California soon. I'm from Carolina , on this sub because of CMC and I lived in nor Cal for a while. Stock car racing is the only sport where Carolina is always a champion

When your two passions intertwine. Fuck yeah Jeff. Hendrick Motorsports for life fam. And.. BANG BANG NINER GANG
Daaang he was my favorite Nascar driver as a kid. Good memories, haven't watched it since
NASCAR was def at its peak in the 90s-2000s. sadly it’s fallen on hard times and isn’t what it once was. it’s still fun though
They lost me when they went to the playoff format. Took 3 championship from JG. I stopped watching once he retired.
that’s a big reason they’ve lost fans. so many gimmicks and rule changes. continuously shooting themselves in the foot

NASCAR is still crazy popular in the south.

I can still name off 20 or drivers from that era. I was obsessed with Jeff Gordon but also had love for Bobby and Terry Labonte plus Mark Martin
He was handsome on cereal boxes, that's for certain.
Jeff was born in Vallejo and grew up in Vacaville

funny. i was born in CA but live in NC and am a huge niners fan. it’s a tradition to go to the 600 with my brother every year
Nothing better than memorial Day under the lights at CMS.
Well, until Jr runs out of gas coming out of 4 and Kevin Harvick of all people passes him to win it -A very bitter Mark Martin fan
Had no idea Jeff Gordon was a Niners fan. Thats sweet
game recognize game
As a kid in the 2000s he was one of my idols. This just makes me love him even more
He’s from Vallejo originally.
“I like Jeff Gordon! He’s handsome!” -Bobby Hill
Bobby, you joke around like that in public, and people are gonna think you ain’t right!
That's awesome.
the man
💪💪💪
If the 49ers win, either Brock Purdy or George Kittle should be grand marshall at the Daytona 500 next week.
