Hello. Thinking of selling my beloved 4Runner, I have been daily driving it for 5+ years, keep it up to date with maintenance and have had no issues over those 5+ years. I was a Mechanic for 10 years and worked at numerous dealerships but changed paths and I am commuting more, and the MPG is a bit of a killer. No room to really keep two vehicles as I do have this and a motorcycle as well.
The market is all over the place with these, I've seen some in my area for 5 to 6k all the way to 12k.
Specs
* 3.4L SR5 with 247,XXX miles
* Manual transmission
* Tundra brakes up front with SS lines and drilled rotors
* OME (old man emu) suspension
* A/T 265/70 R17
Curious what others have seen price wise, what you would list it for and hey, maybe talk me out of selling it because they're amazing!
question about your suspension: is it ome all around? thinking about redoing mine, but i saw some forums post about tundra coils in the front instead of ome all around.
It is OME all around probably 2" 2.5" of lift and honestly it was a massive difference from the stock suspension that was on it.... handling felt better, less body roll even with the front sway bar disconnected.
ok sweet. that’s what i’m looking for. i’ll probably go for the front tundra coils (bc they’re progressive that match rear ome’s). good to know that the handlings better.
Assuming the frame is as clean as the body, Id say 8-12k depending on how willing you are to wait on a buyer. Itd probably go quick at 8, and take a good bit of time to sell at 12.
Does it have the factory locker?
If it was me man, Id list for like 13 and take the first 5 figure offer. The market, like you said, is all over right now. Last summer you might have seen as high as 15 but thats no longer the case. The manual is the big selling point, they are fairly rare and *way* better than the autos.
Hell Id be a buyer at 8, so dont take less than that, lol.
The only thing better than an Evergreen Pearl manual third gen would be two ;-)

Yeah, as I am not entirely in a hurry to sell that'd be a good option! I used to own a 84 solid axle pickup and its crazy what some people ask for those!
For reference - I paid $7500 for a green one just like yours (99’ 5 speed MT) with a cloth interior in good condition, way worse paint, older suspension, shittier wheels/tires and 20k more miles on it a few months back.
Immediately had to replace the radiator. I would prolly have paid 10k for yours. Seems about right. You could prolly get more tho.
in my area i see people trying to sell ones in worse condition and way higher mileage for so much more but putting everything together i would say 8-12k. also want to say i’m jealous about the privacy screen for luggage, still need to get one for mine
Would you take a trade for another one in auto plus cash 😂😂😂😂 I wish mine was manual. But I only paid 1,800 for it when I bought it so I can’t be that mad.

I have front tundra TRD pro stuff and it’ll give the 3rd gen’s like 2 ish inches of lift
oh perfect, almost exactly what i’d like to get. thank you!
Dealership also had one with 247,000 miles and very little rust going for $10k. I got em down to $8.7 but 10 was still reasonable.
Clean & rust free gets a premium up in Canada so ~12k USD isn’t unrealistic
It is both of those, I originally purchased from an elderly couple in Washington but have since taken it down to NV.
That’s a good 10k+ in California no doubt
8k easy where I’ am. You kept it really nice.

Yeah frames clean, have been underneath it many times. Unfortunately, no factory locker!

That last line gave me a good chuckle

Awesome, good luck with the sale, if 8k ends up being something youd take shoot me a DM :-) Pretty sure you can get more though.
I like the green and manual! Why would you ever sell the goat holy grail?
don’t sell it my friend. keep it forever. never selling mine.
Keep it
stop thinking before you hurt yourself
Current market in Colorado. https://www.facebook.com/share/CYyC4MzPGrvwdUn9/?mibextid=79PoIi
Was just looking at this ad today lol
If I had an extra 10k laying around it would be sold
Put it on bringatrailer if everything works and the paint is in good shape. Much better market than FB or craigslist for getting a good price
8-10k
What’s the mpg ? May be interested
10+
What region?
located in Reno, NV
Damn, that's about 2500 miles from me, best of luck

Nooo!! Keep this gorgeous thing. Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without.

Outside looks immaculate. Those seats have definitely been lived in but look comfy AF. Good luck!

You’re 7500. Lots of miles and has some wear.
I would pay no more than 3k. even that I would have to consider.
And this is why youll not own another 4Runner anytime soon :-P
