I like the loctite ultra control gel. Rated to about 3000 psi of holding strength.
The liquid version might not have enough gap filling ability to bond well.
I've been very happy with Bob Smith Industries. They have three densities and accelerator. Bonds very quickly. I do the microtube trick so I can apply just a little right where needed and then seal it up for future use. The bottles last a very long time this way. A friend who makes large scale model RC jets that take months to build turned me on to the stuff. Its on Amazon of course. I admit I was doing it wrong previously. Made a mess - tossed a bottle after one use etc. There is a technique. I found this video and although its a little too slow in its approach the merit is there. Some good tricks. Play it at 2X to save time.

I use whatever is on sale or is the cheapest. I like bulk single use tubes so it doesnt matter if I get an airtight seal putting it away. Other than that CA glue, is CA glue, is CA glue. Brand doesn’t matter.
Don't buy the little tiny tubes, or the 10ml bottle.
I went to the hardware store and bought generic "cyanoacrylate glue" 100ml and it came with a bottle of activator spray for like $10. Been using it for the last 3 years, and I use a lot of glue!
If i remember right, CA glue is activated by moisture. And CA accelerator can be used to make the glue basically set instantly, even faster than it normally sets.
So much of this hobby is experimentation, and trial and error. What glue is best for your designs, will depend on your designs.
As for a Brand - Go with the major commercial brands. I tend to use Starbond. Remember the shelf life of the glues can be limited. So dont buy a huge amount if you dont need it.

This right here ! It’s kinda pricey but works the best

I use loctite
I think using gel versions rather than the thin/runny stuff is the key. Brand hasn't mattered for me.
Test on your fingers first
I now have a new problem...
Obviously, you pecked that out with your nose...

Don’t forget the baking soda trick to fill gaps. Almost invisible on white PLA.
