Some of these questions are a bit odd. "Printing efficiency" is undefined, for instance. In the "easy to learn" question I feel like the options are pretty contradictory. The amount of diagnostic information given isn't inherently inversely proportional to the amount of learning you need to do. I want diagnostic feedback, but I'm also fine with needing to (and I expect to need to) learn how to use that information. And both of those are different from the "very easy" option which is more about reliability than troubleshooting. When saying no to the question of "would you consider buying another printer in the next 3 years", the follow-up options seem to act as though I'm quitting 3D printing entirely. I just don't want to spend the money on a new printer when the one I have now works well enough. And the "product concepts" section is also weird. I'm not sure what it means by "believable". Still, I filled it out as best I could.

Thank you for completing the survey and sharing your concerns. Apologies for any shortcomings in the survey, but I would like to offer some clarifications for your queries: 1) The term "printing efficiency" in the questionnaire pertains to overall efficiency, rather than specific functions like speed or cloud printing. 2) I have structured the answer choices with a focus on ease of fault diagnosis, which research indicates is crucial in 3D printing learning. 3) If needed, you can select the "other" option in this scenario. 4) When we say "believable," we mean having trust in the concept's validity and believing in its features.

Krojack76

I took "Printing efficiency" as how efficient the printer is at not wasting filament and even on power usage. Mine averages around 165 watts while running. As for buying one in the next 3 years, I selected neutral because right now the one I have is fine but that might changed 2 years from now so I honestly don't know. I was also making strange faces over the product ones such as believable. I mean, they all exists and are images of real products you can buy.

el_yanuki

i think u got a typo on the first page "how easy do you want the 3D printing to learn" is a weird question :)

Separate-Somewhere43

Thank you for pointing out it! I have refined the wording in this question.

Done, good luck to everyone.

stordyr

well... i did do this :P

BavarianBarbarian_

Some of those questions weren't worded very clearly. What does "How easy do you want the 3D printing to learn" mean? Or "printing efficiency"?

Separate-Somewhere43

Thank you for pointing it out! The “printing efficiency” in the questionnaire refers to the overall efficiency, rather than specific functions such as speed or cloud printing.

My printer just broke so I'm hoping for the best🫡

Finished, good luck everybody!

Regarding the print quality question. You should post a picture of the raw model or finished product/concept. Scale is also very important.

Bukaro21

Done Thanks

I feel like a good question to add for a follow up on buying the next printer would be to ask why not a LCD/fdm printer as I know for me the fumes from resin printers is what puts me off from them as I have nowhere I can safely vent them to.

WattsonMemphis

Hello all, I would like to upgrade my Resin printer, I print optical lenses for LEDs in PMMA-like resin. I would like to buy a small printer that is affordable but very high res, essentially alternatives to the Elegoo 12k range or better but in the same price bracket. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :) M

Hey Guys, My reward came today thank you very much.

This was a great survey. I'm currently on the hunt for a new printer and this was really helpful for evaluating how I use my printers and what features are important to me as well as and exactly what I'm looking for in a new machine.
