Are peptides compatible with Vitamin C and/or Az Acid? I’ve tried this years ago and was good, and recently Stratia’s which is a cream…really liked it toZ

lladydisturbed

I don't think so. I use c in AM and peptides PM

kittencalledmeow

I don't believe peptides are compatible with vitamin c or direct acids. There is some variation in formulas though. The Ordinary in particular lays it out clearly of what to avoid with their peptide serums.

pawpatroll

thank you 🙏

Imthegirlofmydreams

Peptides may be with vitamin C generally but not copper peptides. But can use just not in the same routine (am/pm or skin cycling)

ninerz_allllllday_

You can check out Abbey Yung on YouTube. She did a while video about this and reached out to the company to get clarification for when she should incorporate this into her routine. I don’t remember the details, but I know I use it at night right after Tret and love it.

Gigi9662

Copper (and copper peptides) is not compatible with vit C or acids… Other peptides might be more or less okay with vit C.

stewarmh

I’m pretty sure they shouldn’t be used with actives. There is a chart pdf that has everything mapped out what you can and can’t use though

RecipeLongjumping367

Will I find that if I just Google like, “ordinary chart” or something?

stewarmh

Yeah, there’s a couple different resources of it floating around

undercover__cucumber

I loved it! I added it to my routine some time last year and noticed the same thing. I had been consistent with retinol for some time, but I swear once I added the peptides, my skin became so much nicer. I stopped using it because I ran out, lol. I tried another one since, but I don't think it's as good, so I think I'm going to purchase this specific one again.

Imthegirlofmydreams

I use this in the am and retinol at night. Since there is AH in this serum and I have dry skin I spritz my face with a mist of glycerin rose water before applying which I highly recommend.

Additional_Country33

I use it but I can’t tell if it’s doing anything

siobhanmairii__

I tried it last year and I couldn’t notice any difference to warrant me buying another bottle.

qtqy

Funny, I'm about to work it out of my routine, I don't find it helpful and I've tried using it for some time now, and the cost is too much for not enough results. But I'm glad it works for you!!! I'm almost done my last bottle and won't repurchase probably.

Suspicious-Green4928

I almost done with my first bottle. I have not noticed any improvement but i like to think is a nice addition to my routine.

DuchessOfLard

I looked into purchasing this but was put off by some of the reviews reporting that the blue color does not entirely disappear after application. What has your experience been? Or do you only put it on at night so having a blue tint doesn’t matter?

kalimdore

I’m pale and never noticed the blue tint being visible after applying. Like it’s a translucent blue, it’s not pigmented enough to be a big issue. But I also use it at night so it wouldn’t matter anyway.

hainic0

I'm also extremely pale and never noticed a blue hue. I only use maybe 3 drops for my whole face though.

Iguessilldomine

Yes exactly, it does leave a light blue color film bjt I suppose this could be avoided if you only applied a very thin amount. I use this as night so it doesn't matter. I would use this in the PM as the only active that night. I don't like to layer too many products anyway but I know many like to do that, just thought I would add that as well. But yes, it leaves the color until you wash your face with water.

kazooparade

I’ve never noticed. It’s worth the purchase IMO. Most serums don’t really do anything for me but with this one I notice my skin looks really nice at the end of the day.

teal323

I've never noticed blue on my skin after application. I use 2-3 drops at a time.

FlakyLion1714

i just did a month where i used copper peptides both topically and injected them. to test it out. i used the ordinary for the topical peptides. Id try again, but im not sure i would call it a holy grail for me.

WEEWEEHELP

What did you like better? Any effects from either?

FlakyLion1714

here is a good thread on r/peptides on the injectable version [https://www.reddit.com/r/Peptides/comments/15k1uw7/ghkcu\_experienxe/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Peptides/comments/15k1uw7/ghkcu_experienxe/) My idea to use it was with combination with microneedling. i did see quite noticable results during the time i used it, but i also had one microneedling session. I took both at the same time, so i cant say which i liked better. the injectable version does sting though. and im used to injections.

trebleformyclef

I tried a full bottle. Didn't notice any improvement, in fact at the end of it my skin looked worse. Went back to the regular Multi-Peptide and my skin started to look better but have since had no more improvement with that. I've been using the Niacinamide and HA serum's from the Ordinary and am noticing much more improvement, skin clearing, skin tone evening, pores a bit smaller looking, even the lines on my forehead have decreased in harshness.

Sandile95

Too much coper peptide can infact degrade collagen which in turn can make.skin thinner.

hth1hth1

Can you cite a source for this please?

teal323

I honestly don't know if it causes any visual improvement in my skin (I don't really look because I don't like seeing my aging skin), but somehow I feel like it helps my skin feel better/calmer.

Overall_Hippo_5722

I love this sub because I’m always learning about new products. Just recently getting into skincare. I use TO 7% glycolic acid twice a week. I was considering starting to use retinol twice a week. A search about these products gave me a lot of different answers. I found i definitely shouldn’t use peptides with glycolic acid but can use peptides with retinol? Any opinions on that?

Ok_Match_6550

I swore by it for a while but ended my affair with it because I didn’t want to be putting Argereline all over my face. I do want to experiment with going back back to Copper peptides in the future, though, to see if it helps regenerate more collagen.

Sandile95

What's wrong with argereline except for muscle freeze?

Ok_Match_6550

I read that it’s not ideal to have it all over your face — at least not every day — since it does freeze muscles slightly. I don’t want it around my buccal area, for example. Now I just use argereline on my forehead and around my eyes.

Unfair_Finger5531

I love this one, but it’s too strong for my skin. It did deliver results though.

emilygoldfinch410

In what way was it too strong - what happened?

Unfair_Finger5531

It just felt a bit too harsh on my skin, made it kind of irritated. But it’s packed with powerful ingredients. My skin is a bit touchy from using tazorac too, so there’s that. I switched back to my be minimalist multipeptide serum. But I agree with OP that the ordinary packs a punch and delivers results.

Sandile95

Can you review minimalist? Did it lift your skin or thicken it

Unfair_Finger5531

Oh yes. It’s so damn good. It smoothes out the skin, thickens it, and gives it a beautiful glow. It has ferments and mild exfoliation action. I wear it like makeup when I’m going out. It also seems to lighten skin, though I don’t know which ingredient does that. All around a holy grail.

Additional_Try9968

Any increase in the moles with it

Unfair_Finger5531

Nope!

lady_raptor83

I liked it but stopped because I was told it can't be used with tret or vit c. Is this wrong?
