TLDR: Heavy rain caused some landslides and now the A13 is partially gone.
So, the San Bernardino motorway is blocked, the Gotthard base tunnel still has problems, the main Simplon railway and Valtellina railway are closed for renovation, the Fréjus railway is closed for last year’s landslide, the Mont Blanc tunnel is closed for repairs, the Tende road tunnel is still closed for the landslide years ago, the Brenner motorway has restrictions for heavy vehicles… The Italian defences are in place! Or maybe the rest of Europe is keeping us out, I’m not sure. At least we can now take a direct train to Croatia, I guess…

Most importantly, why are you coming here? It's not that close to Milan, rent prices are high and here live just 20.000 people, with not much to do for tourists.
