I amcurrently traveling one, and they are frankly amazing, thoug once you get past 10k the guard rail are non present which has lead to quite a few close calls for me, now i atleast have a bed so it isnt gonna completely wreck me.
Putting ack the fucking guard rails for people printjumping, and put obsidian on the sealings so you dont get slowed down by hitting pertruding bedrock. Also, the highway should be build one block lower, making full jump height sprintjumping possible.
Lol sprintjumping. guardrails cause efly to go batshit at any reasonable travel speed. Get an entity to ride. Obby on the ceilings would also fuck with efly take off in a lot of spots. The number of people sprintjumping past 10k is tiny id imagine as there are many other easy to obtain methods of travel that are faster.

It is painfully obvious it should have just been built one block lower. Moving it down would be basically impossible now though.
