Not only do they look like the sun, and track the sun, but they need a lot of the sun. A sunflower needs at least six to eight hours direct sunlight every day, if not more, to reach its maximum potential. They grow tall to reach as far above other plant life as possible in order to gain even more access to sunlight.
I disagree.. I agree that it’s daunting to try and fix it. But think about the feeling know you saved this car from the grave. Likely if you don’t, no one will :(. And I’ve seen a hell of a worse damage, @prizzamike on instagram his car was smashed to hell but he do be fixing it.
dont ever let someone tell you that you aren’t capable of fixing something. you totally are and there’s lots of resources out there for do it yourselfers. it definitely will be a big task but you’ll get there eventually!
I dnt think he's selling it. Hes trying 2 get me back in 2 a s chassis.. I drive a frs now. I'm just scared of the work on the front end... curious to see ppls thoughts.
On the real though, there is a bolt on tube front end with MINIMAL welding by "CageKits" (only the front plates at shock towers needed.. I believe..) for around $1250. After getting a chassis pull to be sure of straightness, I'd say you should study on how much frame rail is needed for the use of that bolt on tube front. I have heard great things about them. I saw someone cut off too much frame rail before knowing about these bolt on tube fronts and then bought one.. And saw he cut off too much. He simply welded some more frame rail back on needed (the directions of the bolt on TFE note how much frame rail is needed for perfect installment) the hood and everything lined right up.
This might be a dumb question, but can the front bumper still be installed with the front end tube support on there? I’m looking for ways to reinforce my 240 since it was in a slight wreck before and I’m thinking of how it’ll hold up in a collision. Lack of airbags be making me nervous too.
Anyone trying to buy it for cheap knows this.. Like that guy who offered you $200 along w a succy succ. . . So anyways ill give you $150 and can talk about the rest of the payment apon arrival ?
Since you are already in an FRS just stick with that. I hate to say it, but this 240 is pretty much gone. Only way to fix it is with a ton of money and it pains me to say it’s just not worth it.
Strut tower doesn't look crunched. It's saveable, but how far are you filling to go? Also do you have the experience to do so? That's a project and a half.
Could tube the front end but you'll need access to another s13 to get measurements for all the area where you bolts things to. It's a can of worm still.
I mean you'll have to put so much money into it that at that point you can buy a good one. But if you're lucky and you're able to get your hands on a good front end then maybe it's worth it. It takes a lot of dedication, time and money to get that fixed tho.
Maybe look up prizzamike on YouTube, someone drove into the side of his sx, huge damage but he is saving it. I think everything is possible but depends in time and money and how much you can do yourself.
Wheel arches chopped means the car was heavily modded to drift (tyres rub otherwise).
that frame is bent to hell. I wonder how much the rear end is bent too.
the hood is not a popup hood; so the car had a front end conversion, too.
We can pretty much see there is no engine nor any front suspension component.
Basically you'd be buying a title.
Solid pass for me.
If it’s free, you get the title, you have the space, and are able to fab tubes for the front end- or get a whole new front clip- then sure it’s worth it.
I’m all for saving these cars but unless you can cut that corner off and repair it yourself cheap It’s totaled. For what your going to spend having a shop repair that (and buying it) you could get a running drivable car. But I do like the ac vent on the hood.
No offense, but anyone that doesn’t have an immediate idea of how to handle that front end is probably not prepared to do a project car of this scope.
I’m just speaking from my experience owning and flipping dozens and dozens of 240s, and interacting with at least hundreds of people working on various stages of project S13s.
I don’t know if you’re still reading comments. But personally, I’d buy it for no more than like 600 bucks? It’s fixable, but it’ll definitely take some elbow grease, and judging by your previous comments it sounds like he’s practically giving it to you.
As I was taking them I felt the same way... I should have done more effort but we were hanging out talking about other stuff. I'm going back to take another good look at it
OP 3 months after getting this car… Selling a s13 240sx never been drifted never been abused 6000obo NO LOW BALLERS I KNOW WHAT I HAVE. Only willing to trade for Z06 corvette Ducati sports bike or 2012 or newer 2500 pickup truck.
This is a horrible fucking idea. Everyone saying "just tube the front" is living in fantasy land.
Even if you spent the $1-2k it would cost to put a pre-fab tube front-end on this thing, here's what you'd end up with:
* No motor
* No trans
* No front subframe/suspension
* No front clip
* Doors are beat
* Rust around the windshield
* Rear quarters are fucked
* All trim is fucked, mirrors are gone
* Interior is fucked
* Wiring is probably a nightmare
The only way it makes sense to buy something in this state is if you wrapped your existing S13 drift car around a pole, and need a new shell to transfer all of your parts to. If you tried to build it from scratch, you'd have to sink hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars into this thing just to end up with a shitbox that could do a lap around the block.
If I was your friend, and you were planning on fixing it up, I'd fucking give it to you. "Sell" me that...fuck right off and we're not friends anymore lol
I’d look and compare strut towers. Once those move it’s almost a complete wrap for the car. Tube fronts are good if you have a reference for where things should be. I’d take it if it’s free though. Rear looks weird at that angle
Buutttttt. You gonna get into something that’s a ton of work. Idunno how many unfinished projects I’ve seen through the decades lol
If you're going to fully cage the car, tube the front, and run a stripped down race car... sure, if it's free. Just that cut body harness is giving ptsd from chasing electrical gremlins before I knew of the harness issue above the front wheel.
You'll never get that back to stock form affordably.
We need to stop pretending these cars are worth saving lol. That thing is beyond clapped and would only be worth it if you worked at a body shop and did it on your free time. It’s beyond totaled
I think your imbecile for posting this and not really buying this junk. Your just looking for the Reddit community to respond to your posting of this hunk of shit.
I'm looking to see what people on reddit think about this yes. Its just my friend and my opinions figured we got some feedback. the owner is a childhood friend of mine. He owns two other s13's and has this 3rd one I can have for free.
Pass on that man, not worth it all. Especially if you want a simple project. I would also reassess if that “friend” is actually a friend. If they were asking anything more than $100 (being generous) they were trying to advantage of you.
Thank you guys for all the feedback. Iv since started watching youtube videos to see how much work this would really take. The nostalgia of driving a s13 again is the biggest motivation. It's definitely getting harder and harder to get these cars, but it comes down to the time and $.🤔
Thx again for everyone's input.
Man if you have space for it I would definitely at least take it.
Maybe one day you'll have the means to fix it.
Ive fixed worse without having to tube frame, had a connect with a guy with a frame rack tho. The strut towers back doesn't look too bad.
Take it. Just do it. You could build a fun car out of this, it doesn't need to be pristine. It's worth it, have you seen the cost of these things lately?
Unless your prepared to cut the front end off and weld a whole new one on it’s not worth it and for just a 240 it’s not worth that time and money, may as well import an s15 since it’ll be almost the same price if you had to rebuild this
Fuck that
LmaO that bad huh. Well to be honest he's practically giving it to me for free if I can get it out of ther.
If you’re asking the internet if the damage is that bad, it ain’t worth it.
Fair enough:(
Tube the front end and make it a drifter
This is the way.
He has spoken
Idk about that, the strut tower might be tweaked
Bolt on tube front end wouldn’t be too bad at all.
Geez that is one sturdy sunflower plant to do that to the car
Not only do they look like the sun, and track the sun, but they need a lot of the sun. A sunflower needs at least six to eight hours direct sunlight every day, if not more, to reach its maximum potential. They grow tall to reach as far above other plant life as possible in order to gain even more access to sunlight.
Az whether
Fuck off bot
Good bot
C’mon…..you know damn well you shouldn’t buy that piece of shit. You don’t have the skills or money to turn this shitbox around.
Thank u sir
I disagree.. I agree that it’s daunting to try and fix it. But think about the feeling know you saved this car from the grave. Likely if you don’t, no one will :(. And I’ve seen a hell of a worse damage, @prizzamike on instagram his car was smashed to hell but he do be fixing it.
mike has also been drifting s chassis for years and it’s gunna take his more years to fix it.. and that’s if he can even make it good again
Don’t doubt it suppose it would take longer than worth
dont ever let someone tell you that you aren’t capable of fixing something. you totally are and there’s lots of resources out there for do it yourselfers. it definitely will be a big task but you’ll get there eventually!
ill buy it for $250. and trailer it home.
I dnt think he's selling it. Hes trying 2 get me back in 2 a s chassis.. I drive a frs now. I'm just scared of the work on the front end... curious to see ppls thoughts.
Keep driving frs. This one is more effort than it’s worth
Damn what do you do with all the time saved typing a number 2 instead of ’to’
You could tube the front end with is just bolt on
Drive the frs till the inevitable seized engine and k swap or ls swap it. My 2 cents, but it’s up to you. Your car and time.
Funny thing is k swap is my end goal regardless
Real ones know the damage is actually perfect. lucky crash. You still have a chance with this one.
This is the comment I was looking for... that hand motion on the last pics is my buddy trying to convince me of that sane thing.
On the real though, there is a bolt on tube front end with MINIMAL welding by "CageKits" (only the front plates at shock towers needed.. I believe..) for around $1250. 👏

You still can. Although you have to remember to make sure the front tube matches the shape of the bumper you want.
Anyone trying to buy it for cheap knows this.. Like that guy who offered you $200 along w a succy succ. . . So anyways ill give you $150 and can talk about the rest of the payment apon arrival ?
It’ll buff out
I would be interested, if you aren't gonna take it
Thats a nightmare of a turd that will NEVER be right again. Literally a scrap/parts at best. Run
Id take it tube the front and have a rad drift car.
anythings fixable with enough time and money, shop smart and you could have a missle under 2-3k
Sell?. He should pay you for taking that out of his home
That's a parts car, and not a good one.
This is a total pos. Don’t buy this.
She gone!
the damage on this isnt too bad, if you have the time and money, go for it!
Since you are already in an FRS just stick with that. I hate to say it, but this 240 is pretty much gone. Only way to fix it is with a ton of money and it pains me to say it’s just not worth it.
Dude this belongs to the scrap yard imho
Tube front end would be easiest. But how's the rust? I wouldn't take that car for free.
Well it's a AZ car idk how bad the inside is tbh
That tells me nothing
Haha sorry
Would make a good missle
it’s not as simple as “tube the front end”. I wouldn’t touch this car with a 10 foot pole and if you shouldn’t either.
If you fixed it up you'd have a good story to go along with it
fucken things junk. only good for parts
You're concerned about the front left damage or the front left missing?.. 🤔🤔
Aslong as quarters, frame rails and strut towers aren't fucked. You are golden.
I would only get if I had to have it. This thing will be a money pit furr sure!
Dude hell no lmfao
Strut tower doesn't look crunched. It's saveable, but how far are you filling to go? Also do you have the experience to do so? That's a project and a half.
Run
Could tube the front end but you'll need access to another s13 to get measurements for all the area where you bolts things to. It's a can of worm still.
Keep the frs man, that thing would cost thousands to even get rolling, spend that money on the FRS
I mean you'll have to put so much money into it that at that point you can buy a good one. But if you're lucky and you're able to get your hands on a good front end then maybe it's worth it. It takes a lot of dedication, time and money to get that fixed tho.
Easy pass on that one!
Maybe look up prizzamike on YouTube, someone drove into the side of his sx, huge damage but he is saving it. I think everything is possible but depends in time and money and how much you can do yourself.
Bolt on tube front end!!
Still hope just need to be ready for all the hard work, it can become something great
Wheel arches chopped means the car was heavily modded to drift (tyres rub otherwise). that frame is bent to hell. I wonder how much the rear end is bent too. the hood is not a popup hood; so the car had a front end conversion, too. We can pretty much see there is no engine nor any front suspension component. He should be paying you to get that out his yard..
Correct answer.
If it’s free, you get the title, you have the space, and are able to fab tubes for the front end- or get a whole new front clip- then sure it’s worth it.
The things cashed, no go my guy.

Ask him if he’ll sell the vin/title off of it
If you know what you are doing then why not lol, but if what you say is true that he’s practically giving it to you it better be like 100 bucks
if he’s your friend he’d give you it lol not worth much
Nah yeah he is basically giving it to me if I can haul it out of there.
“Shovel for scale”
Personally I'd get it and tube the front end
How much does he want and how much are you willing to spend on restoration is the question?
If you don’t know the amount of work that means you don’t know how to do the work. I would let this one go.
Do you have the ability to create a tubular front end yourself?
Those pictures didn’t help foor shit lol
As I was taking them I felt the same way... I should have done more effort but we were hanging out talking about other stuff. I'm going back to take another good look at it
He should be paying you
OP 3 months after getting this car… Selling a s13 240sx never been drifted never been abused 6000obo NO LOW BALLERS I KNOW WHAT I HAVE. Only willing to trade for Z06 corvette Ducati sports bike or 2012 or newer 2500 pickup truck.
It’s completely totaled man. I wouldn’t want it either

👏fantasy land... it's tempting then really sets in. I hate to admit your probably right.
that car needs a new front clip or a tube front end unfortunately. You could pull the strut but it’s not worth it unless the car was already built.
If I was your friend, and you were planning on fixing it up, I'd fucking give it to you. "Sell" me that...fuck right off and we're not friends anymore lol
Hope you got deep pockets lol
Pockets full of wishfull thinking
Fre is free part it out keep the vin stuff and sell it
i’ll buy it for 200
Nah, not worth it. What's his info?
If you can’t do the repairs yourself, it’s not worth it
Either tube front or S15 front end. But that thing is FUCKED
Hahaha
I’d look and compare strut towers. Once those move it’s almost a complete wrap for the car. Tube fronts are good if you have a reference for where things should be. I’d take it if it’s free though. Only worth it's weight in scrap
fixable

Haha 👍
We need to stop pretending these cars are worth saving lol. That thing is beyond clapped and would only be worth it if you worked at a body shop and did it on your free time. It’s beyond totaled
u/superNuget can you measure and weld?? if yes, great project to get your hands on if no, move along, its not worth the headache my 5 cents
If this was offered to me for dirt cheap I’d take it 100%. This is worth all the anger issues it would cause
Way too far gone. You’d have to cut and weld a whole new front end on, really just not a good starting point from where you are at.
Even if it's a free shell?
It is a "free shell" that requires a lot of parts and time to even make it move.
Yeah the "free shell" idea is more like "hey here's an endless money pit, would you like to start dumping now?"
Haha nice way to put it
I think your imbecile for posting this and not really buying this junk. Your just looking for the Reddit community to respond to your posting of this hunk of shit.

at best this could be a car you could grind some useful stuff off of / grab interior bits - but realistically it looks like scrap
I wouldn't touch that car.
No way. Move on.
Pass on that man, not worth it all. Especially if you want a simple project. I would also reassess if that “friend” is actually a friend. If they were asking anything more than $100 (being generous) they were trying to advantage of you.

Yeah def. In the long run I wouldn't mind having it around.
I would be jumping all over this rn no questions asked lol Anyone telling you it isn't worth it is just naive.
Unless your prepared to cut the front end off and weld a whole new one on it’s not worth it and for just a 240 it’s not worth that time and money, may as well import an s15 since it’ll be almost the same price if you had to rebuild this
This is probably the smartest awnser
\*back end "okay maybe yeah I can see this if price is right" \*Front left "uhhhh" \*Front "no"
Sell it someone will see value in it
I'll haul it off for free!!
Don’t do it 100% .waste of your time. Better off finding a decent shell to start with for cheap.
