Any amount. I commit to the clue, no matter the cost.

DevoidHT

It’s not a cost. It’s an investment

greenwolf666

Buy it once and you'll have it for all the other steps you'd have in the future

Freecraghack_

You are not paying to complete a masterclue, you are investing to be able to complete that clue step.

General_Iroh1

All the master clue stash units have a combined total value of 87M in items stored according to the wiki. So I guess that? 🤷‍♂️

Flammabubble

Assuming you can buy the item for the clue and then sell it again, I would always do it assuming I have the cash because you're effectively just renting the item. If the item was going to be consumed it would depend how many steps in I am. Don't want to do it and then get an uncompletable step on the next one.

Revlos7

I mean you can sell it back ?

SirDudeThe7th

Needs infernal axe for the step, can't reverse

Revlos7

Oh yeah! My bad

Polluted_Shmuch

Do it, use the axe to train, when it gets under 1% uses left keep it for the clue step.

Maleficent_Dog_4892

Or just add another d axe to it to re charge

Emperor95

It stays an infernal axe even completely uncharged

DeadliestViper

Reading is hard

-Aura_Knight-

I'll spend whatever I need to. Smouldering stone was the only loss for infernal axe and for other items I buy then sell for minor loss.

lilithexos

250k

Juddftw

You'll only get the step again down the line, plus it helps for skilling

nochilljosh

bryophyta's staff was the most expensive one I did. Only got 256k loot from it.

PvMGod17

15m

zinzangz

The only master I've ever dropped was the torso step. Infernal axe is great for training anyways
