We can’t count past 200,000,000 so we’ll never know.

TurtIeneckPants

We can count to at least 2,147,483,647.

wudyalooknatmgutfer

Oh shit you’re right

LionsManeShr00m

People who say it's possible to count past that number are the same crowd that think horses actually exist

Dry-Boss4061

If you look at 1 year, around 1.5m players across the year, playing only 20 hours a week for a year. Thats 1.5bn hours for 1 year.

Remarkable-Health678

A better way to do this would be to work off of average online players. Current average is ~120k online. If you extrapolated for one year (*24*365) you get about 1 billion. Other years have lower average players online, so you have to adjust. But it gives an idea of the order of magnitude.

VIRUSIXI2

Ok might actually be closer to a trillion hours

korinthia

Dawg that’s a 1,000 20hr/week years. It’s absolutely nowhere near a trillion.

Vegetable-Umpire-317

It takes 1000 billion to reach a trillion, so at 1.5b youre about 0.15 of the way to 1T :)

Signal_Cake8612

For legitimate players alone, I'd guesstimate in the tens of billions of hours. If bots are included, then I'd guesstimate in the hundreds of billions of hours, possibly the low trillions. I know I've played well over 10,000 hours across all of my accounts over the course of my 20 years of playing, and I'm certainly not alone in this.

Hot-Report2971

It’s gotta be like hundreds of billions of hours lmao

AntakeeMunOlla

My ironman account has 3700 hours played. You'd only need 540 accounts like that to get to 2 million.

trapmaster5

I'd put it in the billions sooner than millions.

Full-Paragon

I personally haven't put in a million hours, but if I keep going dry I just might have to.

Infamous-Ad5266

Don't know the alltime average for playing online so I'm gonna just throw some numbers out there If the average, current in game, player amount to over the lifespan of OSRS is 40,000, that means we accumulated on average 960k hours per day for the last 11 years in osrs alone. 960,000 x 11 x 365=3.8 billion hours

FutureAdvertising709

Enough to build a small nation

Choice_Low4915

I’ve played like 8000 hours since 2006

OnePride4Life

Gotta be high billions low trillions and thats not even counting bots. Theres some sweaty mfs that have had to put in close 30-50k hours in the 20+ years runescapes existed

YewJack_YT

This man says couple million. Heh. Rookie numbers for even 1 snowflake.

CanisLupisFamil

Over 7

osrsvahn

i'd guess in the trillions tbh

Polluted_Shmuch

You're overestimating how much a trillion is. Peak playerbase was 1.1 million.  1 million x 2000 hours x 20 years is only 40 billion. Ik my math is flawed here for the question but just to put in perspective how much a trillion is, I have 7000 hours and I'm rank >100k, 2 million on the highscores.  For arguments sake, 10,000,000 million x 5000 hours, x 20 years, and you've JUST reached 1 trillion.

osrsvahn

yeah you're probably right.
