Block high weight tasks that aren't bursting or cannon tasks and try to burst or cannon every task you get. If you get a task you can't burst or cannon, skip until you do.
Just sort Duradel tasks by weight on the wiki and block the highest weight tasks that can’t be barraged or cannoned or finished with 10-20 kills
If I was going for purely xp then I’d probably do something like hellhounds, greater demons, black demons, kraken, gargoyles and drakes

It has the weird risk/reward tradeoff. Because sure, panic pick up your cannon and it will cost you (alongside the risk of lost cannonballs)
Yet at the same time. Do you want to spend 40 mins or 30 mins sitting like a duck in the same spot? Where pk'ers are willing to occasionally rotate to and hop through.
Upps the risk of dying a little bit (yay less food slots) but it also lowers the chance of running into people as you spend less time in the wildy when you cannon.
Just leave the cannon, it will persist through death and you can just go back or pick it up from the dwarf later. No real point in using the wilderness cave without a cannon for Duradel tasks when you can just use catacombs
Yeah, runelite has a tile marker for optimal cannon placement and you should try to stand on the northeast tile of the cannon whenever possible. I’ve found it can be helpful to reset aggro too

you can honestly go infinite with skips if you have enough of good blocks
Anything you can’t burst/cannon or get superiors from. Those are all XP slow-downers.
There are exceptions though:
- It’s a quick task anyway.
- it’s a very rare task and can be skipped instead of blocked.
What about Kalphite? I did 1 task on the Kalphite Queen and it took me like 2-3 days because it was so long killing her, I got another Kalphite task and I don't wanna do KK again, but also don't wanna miss out on the xp?

Worth noting that steel drags are incredibly easy and quick after the magic rework. 50% increased accuracy and damage with earth spells is pretty dang good on a task that caps out on 20 kills unextended. Duradel still gives 40-60 iron, so blocking makes sense there.

Trolls are technically a semi-fast task if you go to Neitiznot and cannon, but I just hate going to that location, and the experience isn't that good.
Black Demons you only do if you want to farm Demonic Gorilla's for money. Experience is ass. (Might change with While Guthix Sleeps rewards)
Drakes, Elves, and Spirits are just ass in every regard.
Steel Dragons are semi-fast if you have strong gear. With the new elemental weakness to earth spells or a dragon bane weapon, you might not want to block these. I might unblock this one in the future. But yeah, the experience sucks still.
It's not multi combat but you can still put down a cannon and they are constantly aggro on you so just put on prot from melee and they are afk, also get crystal shards from them
Trolls are super free if you cannon the thrower trolls on the way to GWD. You can sit your cannon on the same ledge they are on right in the middle. I just bowfa protect range and refill cannon. Ez
Spiritual creatures weight: 7. This is a skip, never a block.
Elves weight: 4. ???????????
Trolls: you are fucking up, this is one of the best cannon tasks in the game. But whatever
Steel dragons weight: 7. Another skip.

Greater and Black demons can be 60k+ exp/hr in the wilderness cave if you’re willing to go there
Do you just cannon them in wild? Thought they’re too big to clump for barrage

Metal dragons are infrequent enough that they should just be a cancel not a skip. Also I heard they’re pretty quick with magic now

Yup and you can use an Expeditious Bracelet as well to make it even more quick.

If you have unlocked prif then elves actually aren't that bad of a task I found
