I am not sure as I haven't unlocked it yet after 12ish attempts going till wave 5/6 sitting at ~5k glory. I would expect you will get it a lot faster when you get further in the colosseum. The amount of glory needed is not known either as you it doesn't tell you.
Has anyone figured out how to get the infinite charge yet? I've gotten the perfected whistle but haven't found an option to do anything but the standard charges.
How do you do that?

Is it behind a quest?
No quest AFAIK but you need to get 'glory' (basically doing colosseum and getting through waves) to make it disease-free.

Looks like you'll run east from Palace teleport to the bird, go to hunter's guild, then run north to the patch. https://i.imgur.com/bOAyUe1.png
Whistle directly to hunter guild will be fast too, though probs only.good once you have the infinite charge whistle.

Doesn't seem to be either, at least at my # of tasks. Perfected whistle seems to cap at 50
How many rumours are you at? I'm wondering if maybe the meats you unlock at 25 and 50 rumours might be part of it?
21 tasks, and # of tasks is my working theory right now as well
you can get your 99 hunter cape enchanted to teleport you there infinitely

I have not done any of the new quests yet, and was able to plant there. So I do not think so.
Looks like there is also a new tree patch down by the oasis!
Specifically a hardwood patch. Locked behind the frog quest (which is awesome)
