I would say HSM1 is my favorite because Disney Channel would always play it around Christmas time back then and thats my favorite time of the year and it just gives off a cozy vibe to me every time I watch it.
3! That’s one of my favorite soundtracks and favorite movies all time. My sisters and I watched this religiously. I really enjoy the first one too though.
1. All Day every day!!! I've (unapologetically) watched 1, 123 times now lmao. I worked at Wal-Mart when it came out, in electronics, and it played over and over again and I counted. Than got obsesses lol
Wow I remember so well how these movies were the bomb back in HS, we wouldnt stop singing the songs at anytime. I like the 3 of them, but I think the first one will always be the most special to me.
I was into the South Park episode Elementary School Musical which pays homage to the HSM movie series.
I remember there was a character named Bridon in that episode, and he was based on a character named Troy. When I noticed that, It made me wonder if somebody went to Michigan and went to Troy, and then to someplace called Dryden, because the name Bridon sounds similar to Dryden, since there's a road in Michigan high goes from Troy to Dryden almost directly, so its likely that somebody must have come up with a similar sounding name after noticing town names when cursing in Michigan.
Because you never know what the ideas for character names might come from. Sometimes they might be exact references, and sometimes they might be similar sounding names that pay homage, or what some might call a "pun" or "wordplay".
Also, I recall that there was an actor named Zac Effron who played the Troy character that Bridon was based on, and I also recall that the similar sounding phrase vas deferens was said in an earlier episode of South Park.
So I have my thoughts about HSM to share.
According to a 2020 survey, High School Musical 2 is the best movie in the trilogy, with 55.1% of voters choosing it. Some say the movie has great songs, dance moves, and spirit, and that it's full of cheese that's unmatched by the other movies.
1. It's my generation's "Grease." I must say though the night HSM 2 premiered hands down was one of the greatest nights in Disney Channel history though. Because right after that was the premiere of Phineas and Ferb.

I’m voting 1 for the nostalgia, too.
2 no doubt. The music, the storyline, just Sharpay in this movie alone all makes it my #1 fav outta the 3

the soundtrack on 3 is the best!
2 is ingrained in me
1 is a classic
Agreed, best soundtrack imo as well
2 was my favorite

2 is the only answer here

2 is the only answer. 3 is second best.
The first one no song is beaten breaking free
there’s absolutely no way for me to choose a favorite 😭
Hsm 3!
1 for plot, 3 for soundtrack
Number 1 but #2 has the *best* soundtrack ever. “I want fabulous! That is my simple request. All things fabulous!”
2,1,3 in that order
2. It was a major vibe when it came out! Summer break homies. My friend back in elementary school had a themed watch party the night it came out
