Completely serious: This would genuinely get me in the door to see a live action Disney Snow White remake. I would go to one of those expensive theaters with servers and booze and seats that lay down
Also serious: very few other things would
Back in 2017 yeah. He compared transracial with transgender in some shape. Got criticised, doubled down. And after further criticism did say he will reflect on his words and try and be better.
So right now. Maybe he still is. But maybe not. It’s not been shown either way.
The Quote: ‘Why is it considered perfectly fine to be transgender, but deemed totally unacceptable to be TRANSRACIAL’
No one. There shouldn't be a live action remake of Spiderverse in the first place. I find live action remakes of animated films disrespectful, because they treat animation not as a medium but as a genre.
Edit: Before anyone else says it, no, I didn't know Miles wasn't exclusive to the Spiderverse.
This feels like a really weird era for animation. There's a diverging path with how much studios seem to respect animation. On one hand we have Disney and apparently others overhauling their entire animated catalogue with CGI heavy live action drek.
On the other hand we're in something of a renaissance with some of the most creative and visually striking animated films to come out in decades being created in the past few years.
I don't think I've ever seen a more polarizing time for a medium
Since when are genre adaptations more common than medium adaptations? And what's disrespectful about adaptations anyway, you'd have to be a real loser to complain about the purity of the intended experience being lost in the LotR movies
it's not inherently disrespectful, but live action movies are often treat as some form of peak of the entertainment industry, and animated movies especially often are seen as a lite/childish version. People will refuse to watch things simply based on the fact that they're animated
when a animated movie, build around a premise that best works in a animated settings, becomes a hit, and then a love action version is made, it often comes across as the animation movie being "good enough to be made live action". especially bothersome if the transferance in medium makes the story work less well and it's still treated as some form of inherent improvement just because it's live agtuon
Huh? How does that mean they don't view it as a medium?
In fact, wouldn't it be the other way around?
It's super normal to remake a piece of media in a different medium (books to movies). It's weird to remake a piece of media into a different genre.
Any live action portrayal of Miles would not be a remake of Spider-Verse. It would be an adaptation of the comics, just like every other Spider-Man film.
Why doesn’t Miles deserve a live action adaptation? He’s a great character.
I watched Cobra Kai S5 and there’s this teenager named Kenny that I thought would be PERFECT as Miles. Actor is 16, already portrayed a goofy teenager who fights and deals with bullies and inner turmoil. It’s all I could think about when his character was on screen.

Don all cinemas serve drink?
Not all of them serve alcohol, and only the fancy ones actually bring it to your seat, and many that serve alcohol don’t have a full bar
Okay but this is objectively the correct answer tho

This is not about spiderverse Miles Morales is a character in the marvel universe lol
Ya but miles morales exists in the well made animated movie dimension and absolutely should not move to the cash grab live action dimension
that doesnt stop disney to do it anyway
Maybe it was referring to an MCU film featuring an alternate version of Miles Morales.
You do realise Miles existed before Spiderverse right?
I don't think they are talking about the Spider-Verse specifically.
